In this course the student continues to develop the role as a member of the profession of nursing as a provider of care to women, children and families in meeting their basic needs in a variety of settings. Emphasis is placed on knowledge and skills relating to the pediatric population and the childbearing family. The role of the nurse as a provider of care, communicator, teacher, manager, and member of a profession provide the framework for clinical application and evaluation in pediatric and childbearing settings. Prerequisite: Adult Nursing I
