This course provides in-depth study of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9-CM) using sample exercises and medical records to develop skill and accuracy in coding in various health care settings. Students will apply ICD-9-CM coding guidelines appropriate to the coding situation and will cover coding of all body systems. Prerequisites: Medical Terminology, Pathology I (prerequisite or co-requisite)
