A sophomore level introduction to thermodynamics and to the classic experiments of the 20th century. Basic ideas of atomic and nuclear structure. An introduction to the mathematics of quantum theory and relativity. Four hours lecture and two hours lab per week. Prerequisites: physics 102 or 106, concurrent enrollment inmath 162 or 166.
