Fall, Spring, Summer. Comprehensive in nature, this course examines stage development, educational psychology, learning, intelligence, and motivational theories. Building upon this theoretical base and integrating technological expertise, this course provides constructivist experiences in effective teaching models, instructional strategies, and school law and inclusion of the Pathwise model domains within the context of diverse student populations. In addition, 15 hours of field experiences provide students opportunity for integrating specific cases with classroom materials. This course offers a framework for initial classroom experiences and structure to assist the experienced teacher. EDFD 311 must be completed in residence at Harding and cannot be taken by correspondence. Prerequisites: EDFD 202, 203.
