Spring. Explores the physical, psychological, sociological and financing aspects of aging and the governance and management of long-term care facilities. The types of long-term care providers, i.e. nursing facilities, assisted living, sub-acute care, adult day care, home health and hospice care, will also be studied. Reimbursement, quality of care, ethical issues and future trends of long-term care will be addressed in this course. Prerequisite: HCM 210.
