Fall, Spring. Based on results of university-approved English proficiency exams such as the TOEFL, IELTS, or others, international students may be required to take this intensive ESL course before entering the regular university curriculum and/or before taking ENG 100 or a higher composition course. Instruction in listening and note-taking, and speaking and pronunciation skills to prepare students for college or graduate-level classes. A grade of "C" or better isrequired to pass the course.
