This course presents procedures for the development of reading skills, emphasizing the use of reading skills for content learning. This course helps the prospective teacher know how to meet the total range of reading levels and needs of middle school and secondary students and develops an acquaintance with methods and materials designed to assist in the acquisition of comprehension and study skills for all areas of the curriculum. Field experience is required. Prerequisites: EDU110, EDU235. Two hours.
