Students will seek to identify the fundamental questions of human existence that need to be thought through carefully. They will explore the persistent problems of being, knowledge, nature, deity, society, etc., in the context of the assumptions and answers offered by historic philosophical traditions and modern alternative views. Students will develop analytical, integrative, and critical skills; they will grow in self-understanding, and they will form personal conclusions about a Christian view of the world and how that should be manifested within the Christian community and in the larger global community.
