This course will provide a broad overview of the basic operations, functions and issues related to securing our homeland from domestic and international threats. In addition this course will evaluate areas of possible threat including terrorism and possible proactive and reactive measures against such threats. An examination of the emergency management system and the roles of public health and the private sector in homeland security will also be addressed. Three hours.
