Spanish for professions attends to language specific to business, education, social work, and health (as needed by students enrolled in the course). In addition, students learn the cultural customs, mores, social practices, and beliefs of various cultures vital to better understanding the people these professions serve. This course combines Spanish grammar, conversation, listening, writing, specific vocabulary for the particular professions and reading practice relevant to professional interests. If focusing on different professions, students may take the course more than once (i.e. once for Spanish for Professions: Business and another time for Spanish for Professions: Health). Pre-requisite SPAN 111 Spanish Composition, Conversation and Grammar.
