This course is an introduction to computer spreadsheet and database concepts and applications, specifically dealing with Microsoft Excel and Access. Focus is on methods used to organize, interpret, apply and evaluate data while working with formulas, charts and graphs. Database emphasis is on relational design along with generating queries, forms and reports to manipulate the data. Exercises prepare participants to become more capable software users by requiring them to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create real-life documents.
