Students learn the numeric and algebraic skills necessary for future mathematics work. The focus is on the development of the real number system with emphasis on relationships and applications. The course may not be taken for credit if a grade of C or above was achieved in a higher mathematics course. A TI-83 graphing calculator or equivalent is required. Credit is not applicable toward the 124 hours required for graduation unless MATH 113 Intermediate Algebra is satisfactorily completed.
