A practical, hands-on course in Web site design. Emphasizes the importance of design and organizational principles in the development of a successful Web site. The course also explores how animation and design elements should be used within a digital media context and how the site's design directly affects the success or failure of navigating a site. Emphasis will also be placed on appropriate Web design software and its use (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks). Prerequisite: ART 340 or consent.
