The clinical medicine courses give the PA student the necessary foundation of knowledge and understanding to deal with the patient in the clinical context. This preparation precedes the clinical rotations in which students apply their knowledge in examining patients and expand their expertise in evaluation, clinical procedures and problem solving. A body systems approach is utilized to study cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, hematology, psychiatry and obstetrics/gynecology.
