This is an activity-based course in which topics will encompass a range of physical phenomena. Scientifi c concepts are introduced to provide a basis for understanding phenomena such as sight and optics, motion, rainbows, cloud formation, and global warming. Typically two topics per quarter will be covered. The main emphasis will be on the process of scientifi c investigation, with students developing hands on projects throughout each quarter.
