This course examines ethical questions that arise in the course of day-to-day individual and social life. While some consideration will be given to ethical theory and its application to such questions, emphasis will be on practical issues. Examples of typical questions to be examined are capital punishment, euthanasia, abortion, the treatment of animals, corporate responsibility, and so forth.
