The RIT Concert Band is a large instrumental ensemble which performs a wide body of literature including traditional marches, wind ensemble pieces, musical medleys and orchestral transcriptions. The group rehearses once a week for two hours in the music room (A120) of the student/alumni building. Students participating in the course are eligible for one credit hour applied toward their individual concentration. The group performs at least one formal concert per quarter as well as several special events throughout the academic year. The group is currently under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Kruger. Part of the music concentration and minor and may be taken as an elective. Class 1, Credit 1 (offered quarterly)
