The introduction of digital printing processes has created the need to bind single or small quantities or printed products. This course is an introduction to the many different binding options ranging from saddle-stitched pamphlets to hardcover books, as well as the wide range of materials available. Contemporary procedures of fi nishing on demand publications are part of this course. Students are encouraged to bring with them some personal projects for binding. No prerequisites are required; however good manual dexterity is desired. Credit 3
