This course prepares students to engage in a variety of written and oral communications necessary in academic and business environments. Students are expected to produce appropriate audience-centered written materials that achieve a desired purpose based on techniques, organization, format, and style. A formal technical report and presentation are required. Students must pass this course with a grade of B or higher prior to graduation or pass the Writing Competency Test given each quarter.
