This class is a survey of basic techniques and aesthetics of animation and provides training and practical experience in a wide variety of approaches to single-frame motion picture production. Students produce a number of short fi lm exercises utilizing cutout, paint and draw animation as well as kinestasis. Extensive fi lm screenings illustrate each technique and related aesthetics.
