This sculpture course investigates the study of human form through the development of sculptured class fi gures, working directly from living models. Emphasis is placed on exploring the following sculptural elements: the underlying three-dimensional structure of the human fi gure; proportions of the human fi gure; volume, mass and surface anatomy, gesture; support and balance; fi gurative spatial relationships; expressive qualities of the human form; use and control of basic material and processes related to fi gure sculpture.
