This course will deal with constructing and illustrating pop-up and mechanical books. Students will study painting, engineering, and illustration for production of pop-ups. The course will be divided into a preliminary section of learning the basic mechanism of pop-up books and a second section that allows students to apply knowledge learned in the fi rst section to the illustration and production of their own book.
