This course deals with the preparation of support materials for medical litigation-personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability cases. Students learn to read and interpret medical records including operative reports, discharge summaries, radiographs, pathology, and autopsy reports. From these records, students propose effective visual aids to best depict the facts of the case, create preliminary sketches of the proposed exhibits, and then complete the exhibits in a format appropriate for presentation to a jury or arbitrator.
