This course will provide students with an introduction to the Perl programming language, with examples and problems drawn from the system administration arena. After covering the essentials of the language, students will be taught how to create Perl Objects, and install modules for use on a computing system. Application areas for Perl scripts will include fi le system walking programs, user account creation and manipulation, and the processing of log fi les.
