Description:
A course designed for instrumental music education majors and for the student majoring in dance or theatre who has not had experience in vocal performance. Students learn the basics of breath control and support, phonation, free tonal production, and anatomy of singing mechanisms. Students study and prepare to perform vocal literature. Upon successful completion of Class Voice, students are eligible to take private voice study. An additional fee is charged to the student for accompanist's services. Prerequisite: MUS 1102 or MUS 1202. (fall)
