This course focuses on techniques of instruction. It prepares the preservice teacher to create learning experiences and learning environments to support the individual differences in students by enhancing self-motivation and positive interaction in the classroom. The teacher learns a variety of communication techniques to foster inquiry and collaboration and practices instructional strategies that encourage critical thinking and problem solving. Preservice teachers plans instruction and analyze and critique discipline models and methods. Microteaching provides teachers opportunities to prepare and deliver lessons in their subject areas.
