Critique of such dominant radical themes as anarchism, the role of violence, the authority of the state, privilege, and libertarianism. Readings from such theorists as Bakunin, Rousseau, Marx, Veblen, Mao, and Marcuse. Prerequisite: Core Studies 3 or Political Science 1.51 or 1.7.
