2 hours, minimum of 2 hours fieldwork and excursions; 3 credits An integrated examination of the historical, ethical, and aesthetic concerns of Spanish intellectuals and creative artists in the cultural renaissance that took place during the early decades of the twentieth century as expressed in narrative fiction, poetry, painting, music, and film. Visits to museums. Excursions. All written work to be done in Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish 11.1 or 11.12W or 17.50 or permission of the chairperson.
