3 hours, 1 hour multimedia laboratory; 3 credits Third in a three-semester introductory sequence. Further emphasis on basic social functions and practice in longer, more complex conversations, readings, and writing on a broader range of familiar topics. Communication of needs, ideas, and emotions. Continued study of cultures where Spanish is spoken. (Not open to heritage speakers or to students who have completed Spanish 3.7.) Prerequisite: Spanish 2, or three years of high school Spanish without passing the level 3 Regents examination, or permission of the chairperson.
