3 hours; 3 credits Development of reading and analytical skills in Italian. Short, authentic texts, both literary and nonliterary, representing diverse contemporary styles and genres. Discussions and frequent writing assignments using a variety of approaches and supplementary materials available in the multimedia laboratory. (Students who have completed Italian 17.50 or more advanced literature courses may take Italian 15.50 with the permission of the chairperson.)
