3 hours; 3 credits Development of reading and analytical skills in French. Short, authentic texts, both literary and nonliterary, representing diverse contemporary styles and genres. Discussions and frequent writing assignments using a variety of approaches and supplementary materials available in the multimedia laboratory. May be taken concurrently with or after French 4.8 or 11.1. Prerequisite: French 4 or 4.8 or permission of the chairperson.
