Film 49 - Community Portraits:Documentary Production

4 hours; 3 credits Introduction to the fundamentals of documentary production. The course will guide students through the basic three stages of a documentary project: research and development, production, and postproduction. Students may choose from various moving image formats to shoot their work and will edit using nonlinear systems. This course is the same as Television and Radio 27.2. (Not open to students who have completed Film 49.1.) Prerequisite: Film 1, 40.1, 40.2, 43, 48, and 61; or Television and Radio 27.1; or permission of the instructor.
