6 hours; 6 credits Lectures, research, and study in selected historical, political, economic, and social aspects of life in a selected country or in a region of the United States. Lectures by Brooklyn College and host-country scholars, in cooperation with a university in Africa, the Caribbean, South America, or the United States may be supplemented by field work and library and empirical research. Course may not be taken more than once. Consult department for locale of a specific offering. Prerequisite: Africana Studies 0.11, or permission of the chairperson.
