Such major trends as the civil rights movement, Black nationalism, Pan-Africanism, and the Third World movement. Prerequisite: one of the following: Core Studies 3, 4, 9, Sociology 5, Political Science 1 or 1.5, or Social Science 1 or 2, or Africana Studies 0.12 or 0.2.
