3 hours; 3 credits This course studies the major works of Miguel de Cervantes with emphasis on Don Quixote. In addition to the study of the main themes and literary motifs, this course also investigates prominent aspects of 17th-century culture in Spain. It likewise examines Cervantes's contributions to the development of the modern novel. (No credit for students who have taken LTT 3150.)
