4 hours; 2 credits This course examines the usual topics in a college algebra course including quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions, including discussion of their domain, range, graphs and applications; and arithmetic and geometric series and the applications to finance, including simple annuities. Also included are brief discussions of the tangent line and indeterminate forms. Prerequisite: Placement or completion of CSTM 0120 or FSPM 0121.
