3 hours; 3 credits A course open to juniors or seniors majoring in finance who wish to pursue independent research in an area or topic not otherwise covered in the course offerings. The coursework will include a comprehensive term paper. To enroll, a student must obtain both the chairperson's consent and that of a fulltime instructor who agrees to serve as the student's academic advisor. This course may not be included in the 24-credit major in finance. Prerequisites: FIN 3610, FIN 3710, and ECO 4000, and a GPA of 2.0 or better in those courses.
