3 hours; 3 credits This course examines the historic and political backgrounds of economic thought, the concepts and tools of microeconomics, the measurements and policies of macroeconomics, their limitations, and the evolution of current *Optional second minor open only to students pursuing a major within the Zicklin School of Business. economic discourses. The course will view issues and method - ologies through the lens of American economic development and selected world economic experience. Students will be expected to present and discuss readings and cases concerning assigned texts and materials. (This course is not open to students who are majoring in a business subject. BBA students will not receive credit for this course.) Pre- or corequisite: MTH 2160 or departmental permission.
