ART 5010-5011 - Graphic Communication Internship

Description:
8-14 hours; 3 credits This course is a work-study program for students interested in graphic communication. Interns put their graphic training to practical use by working for a semester in the design department of a New York-based corporation, cultural institution, advertising agency, design firm, or publication. Professional mentors and the internship coordinator supervise the intern. Additional projects are planned and executed during the semester. Students may enroll once in 5010 and once in 5011. Prerequisites: ART 2050, 3050, 3058, and permission of the internship coordinator. Students should arrange an interview with the internship coordinator during the semester preceding the internship.
