This course examines the nature of political power and the dynamicsof change in the United States and around the world. It will examine theories of distribution of politicalpower, devices used by different groups to influence social change, and alternative modes for thedistribution of political power. Special emphasis will be given to the role of social movements in politicaland social structures.
