Major concepts arepresented which address needs/problems of families with the focus on assisting them to maintain, restoreand promote mental health and well-being. Psychological alterations in health, which affect families, arediscussed. Clinical practice experiences are provided in mental health nursing across the life span inhospitals and the community. Four hours of theory and twelve hours of field/lab time for 5 weeks.Prerequisites: NURS 431, NURS 433, NURS 209.
