Major concepts are presentedwhich address needs/problems of families with the focus on assisting them to maintain, restore, andpromote health and well-being. Physical and psychological alterations in health, which affect families, arediscussed, as they relate to childbearing concepts. Clinical practice experiences are provided in hospitaland community-based facilities that reflects the content area. Four hours theory and twelve hours offield/lab experience for 7 weeks. Prerequisites: NURS 329, BIOL 217, BIOL 334, PSYC 326
