Poon This course covers the field known as natural products chemistry. It will explore the main biological sources of natural products, methods for finding, classifying, and identifying potential pharmaceuticals, and the biochemical basis for the production of these compounds through the use of lectures, case studies, and hands-on experience in the laboratory. Prerequisite: Chemistry 117. One-half course credit. Offered every other year.
