Babbes Biological cells require metals for a variety of functions. This course is an overview of the roles of metals in biology and medicine. The major emphasis of the course will be on the mechanism of metal-dependent enzymes. Prerequisites: Biology 43 and Chemistry 117. Enrollment limited to 24. One-half course credit. Offered every other year.
