W. Hwang Introduces students to the study of psychological processes across cultures. Examines the impact of culture on mental health, human development, social behavior, perception of different groups in society, values, cognitions, emotions, and personality. Specific topics include: cross-cultural research methods, research and theory of social perception and groups, acculturation, intercultural relations, family relationships, and sex, class, and ethnic group differences in mental health.
