Staff A writing-intensive course that emphasizes critical thinking, sound argumentation in writing, and close analysis of literature. Students will encounter a range of literary texts and write the equivalent of at least twentyfive typewritten pages. Topics vary by semester and section; see course bulletin for the semester's offerings. Individual sections may also require oral presentations or other speaker intensive assignments.
