Gálvez Introduction to Mexican dances since pre-Columbian times: La Danza de la Pluma, Danza de los Quetzoles, Danza de los Negritos and Pasacolas from Tarahundra Indians. Aztec/Conchero dance with Alavanzas (songs by Concheros) along with Matachines from different parts of Mexico and their historical roots to pre-Aztec times covered. Students will learn to make Aztec and Matachine costumes and headdresses. Offered every other year.
