The course is designed to build and develop business, organizational, technical skills, and especially people skills to work with the artist, producer, patron, stagehand, ticket seller, cleaning staff, and the board of directors. Students will learn the structure involved from outside and inside of the theatre organization, with a study of the history of touring, scopes of touring, and local, state, and international tours. Students will learn the factors dictating the scope of touring, transportation, lodging, technical support, and fronting. The course will have extended lab requirements and the students will produce one children's show to local schools. Fall 2009, 2011
