Students are introduced to the amazing world of special effects through lighting, sound, costumes, make-up, indoor and outdoor pyrotechnic art, and other physical effects. Students will learn and understand all safety and legal aspects for theatre use, and local, state, and federal guidelines. Students will learn the basic facts about the use of different kinds of make-up for theatre from small, intimate cabaret to large shows, ballet, film, and television. Students will learn step-by-step instruction on principles and application techniques as part of the whole interpretation of the character. Course fee required. Fall 2010, 2012
