This course introduces the nursing student to math skills necessary for medication dosage calculation. Concepts discussed are: legal/ethical accountability related to medication administration; and use of the nursing process in medication administration. Upon completion of the course, the student demonstrates proficiency in medication dosage calculation. One hour class. Prerequisite: Official acceptance into the School of Nursing Program.
